I have a tradition of trying to make a ‘Christmas Album’ every year.

Most of them are explicitly about christmas. They featured well known christmas songs, or originals that explicitly referenced winter christmas etc

This year I instead made something that was intentionally abstract. I tried to achieve the feeling of sinking into the ice. Of the dying back which allows new life to begin.

I wanted this to be the musical equivalent of taking a walk across the frosty English countryside on a bright day.

I actually made another Christmas album with A on this year.

It’s kind of secret though.

Imagine frozen grass crunching beneath your feet. The strange cries of the birds somehow finding sustenance. Fog filled valleys.
