EXIT
Exit
I lived in wapping when I made this. I took the photo on the cover when walking along the ornamental canal
I made this when I was
getting ready to leave
London for Berlin.
I planned to make an equivalent album called ARRIVAL - with a similar cover featuring the TV tower. I’ve not done it yet. More likely I’ll make EXIT2 when I leave Berlin.
The album consists of ambient pieces interleaved with field recordings I made around London in the last few months I lived there.
I like this album. But I think some of the recordings are a bit too long and uneventful.
CHORISTER and POLLUTANT are my favourite tracks.
POLLUTANT gets some interesting milage out of repeating phrases and dramatically changing the speed at which they are playing. It has some almost canon like sections. I find it interesting to listen to.
CHORISTER I think has some nice melodies.
My favourite thing about this record is the way that the field recordings mix into the overall flow. I think it takes you on a nice journey.
